Leadership Now Program

The Leadership Now Program was developed by a multidisciplinary team of educators and professionals dedicated to advancing leadership education for youth. Grounded in current research and best practices, the program offers a structured yet engaging framework for developing essential leadership competencies among students aged 9 to 15. Through interactive modules on teamwork, emotional intelligence, decision-making, values, and the effective use of power and influence, participants build the confidence and self-awareness needed to make meaningful contributions at school, in sports, and within their communities.

The program emphasizes reflection, discussion, and the practical application of concepts to real-life situations. Students are invited to explore the complexities of leadership through case studies addressing topics such as bullying, inclusion, and peer dynamics — learning that leadership is less about authority and more about empathy, integrity, and action. An optional Coaches section allows teachers, parents, and mentors to review students’ progress, facilitate dialogue, and support the integration of leadership principles across classroom, athletic, and community settings.

Youth Leadership and Climate Action (YLCA) Program

The YLCA Program was developed following the International Symposium on Youth Leadership and Climate Action in July 2021. Designed for youth aged 12 to 18, the program provides a structured, research-informed framework for building leadership skills while deepening understanding of climate science. Through interactive modules on leadership, climate science, and action-based learning, participants gain the knowledge, values, and competencies needed to take meaningful environmental action in their communities and beyond.

The program emphasizes reflection, discussion, and practical application, encouraging participants to explore complex challenges such as urban sustainability, resource conservation, and climate advocacy. Students engage in scenarios that reinforce leadership as a skill rooted in empathy, responsibility, and initiative. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped to lead initiatives, inspire peers, and advocate for sustainable change. The flexible, self-paced structure allows learners to work independently or alongside classmates, fostering collaboration and shared insight into effective climate leadership.
